I am currently a software developer at AMD. I mostly work on power management features in kernel-mode Windows drivers. I am also a member of the Systems Committee of the Computer Science Club of the University of Waterloo, from which I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science in 2022.
I enjoy learning about and experimenting with GNU/Linux, tiling window managers, and open source software in general. I recently wrote a power management tool for Linux devices using X11, Pulseaudio, DBus, and GLib.
Some other projects which I have worked on include:
- A rewrite of i3-dmenu-desktop in Rust
- An automated cloud VM image builder in Go
- A backlight brightness controller using DBus
If you wish to contact me, I can be reached via email or libera.chat (nick: merenber).
